From: wlah...@gmail.com              Hey,              There were at least two atomic fear movies released in 1951 and both are       oddities worth seeing. The first is Arch Oboler's Five (that features a black       actor) that is probably the first post-atomic war film and takes place in the       director's house designed        by Frank Lloyd Wright.               The other is Unknown World that I had never heard of and bumped into it on       tubitv. The story is of a handful of scientists -- one of whom identifies as a       feminist -- who believe it maybe possible to live below the Earth's crust.       They are denied funding        for this Hollow Earth theory but a thrill-seeking millionaire will fund it if       he can go along.               What follows is an interest romp filled with silly science and hopes of a       better future. Nice ride through a 1950's sensibility.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
