The Doors 4K Release Date Set for
Acclaimed Val Kilmer Movie's 35th Anniversary
       ---------------------------------------------
Lionsgate has announced The Doors 4K release date, setting the date
for when the 1991 biopic starring Val Kilmer is set to release for
       its 35th anniversary.

When is The Doors 4K release date?
The Doors will release on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and Digital Steelbook on
February 17, 2026. The movie will present the Oliver Stone-directed
film in its original theatrical version. The exclusive Steelbook
for the movie is available for preorder now on Lionsgate's Limited
       site.

Originally released in 1991, The Doors stars Val Kilmer as Jim
Morrison, the frontman of the iconic band. Alongside him, the movie
also stars Meg Ryan, Kevin Dilon, Kyle MacLachlan, Frank Whaley,
Michael Madsen, Billy Idol, and Kathleen Quinlan. The film
chronicles the rise of Morrison and the group in the 1960s, as well
as Morrison's exploration into the world of drug use.

The film's 4K release also features a number of new special features
alongside its legacy special features, including:

       New Special Features:
          - Lionsgate Limited Extras:

          - Interview with Sound Editor Lon Bender
          - Teaser, Theatrical Trailer & TV Spots

"Outlaw, sex symbol, poet, late-'60s rock god - the mercurial Jim
Morrison (Val Kilmer) lives on in The Doors, Oliver Stone's
psychedelically resplendent film that breaks on through in
mind-blowing 4K," reads the description of the release. "With his
band The Doors (Kyle MacLachlan, Frank Whaley, Kevin Dillon), lead
singer Morrison explores the outer reaches of sound, spectacle, and
performance, shocking and mesmerizing a generation. But as scandals
mount, and drugs take their toll, Morrison leaves L.A. for France
with his wife, Pam (Meg Ryan), putting the capstone on, in his own
words, 'The strangest life I've ever known.'"
