   Sorry for giving you a bit of a hard time.    
      
   It occurs to me that novelists (and I don't know what venue you write   
   for) who are trying to make a living (or even acquire additional income)   
   through writing suffer a significant disadvantage.  It seems to me that   
   only now that I'm retired and my standard of living is as "assured" as   
   it is ever likely to become, would I be able to step aside from the   
   world we live in, and enter another world where a story takes place, if   
   I was capable of telling a story to save my ass, which I seem not to be.
