From: mdhangton@gmail.com              The POV character is unhappy about her pregnancy and hates her situation. All       of the things you all have said are true. Here is a somewhat different mode       of interpretation: her overreaction to the remark of a casual acquaintance       (she doesn't know the        tennis guy's wife's name) is a displacement of her own hatred at her pregnancy.              These literary genre writers want to indicate characters' emotion in ways they       think are sophisticated. Pretty much they want to write about emotion. Maybe       writers in other genres use them, but probably they don't reach after them so       much.              I have a manuscript with a lot of lost cat flyers in it. Some of them I am       trying to use these literary writers' techniques in, because I want to be cool       too.                     This thread is interesting, like one I started on a stock website, NAME THAT       FISH. I'd post antique trophy photos of people posed alongside their giant       fish. Alligator gar, Goliath Grouper, buffalo carp, New Zealand shortfin       eel. The retirees there        loved it.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
