From: thelastearthman@gmail.com               Jacey               I'm interested in your interpretation of Facebook Friend.              You stated you you had 1000 Facebook Friends. So I visited Your Facebook site       in order to send you a "friend request." There was no such option. I wonder       if you're confusing Facebook Friends with people who want to access your       "page?"               I have only 65 "Facebook Friends," but I have met "in the flesh" with 80% of       them.               And regarding your doubts about transmitting "publication announcements" to       Facebook Friends," 100% of my Facebook Friends" receive the announcements.              And to my great joy, many of them "share" the publication announcements with       their facebook friends.               It's an incredibly effective way to advertise.               The biggest danger in using this method is overdoing it. And since I only get       a story published every three months or so, I'm in no danger. I suspect       someone who writes novels would be in no danger of too many notices. I've       been told it takes a couple        of years to produce a novel.              Anyway, is there some way of sending you a facebook friend request I don't       know of? I have a notoriously thick skin, so don't shy away from declining my       facebook friend request.               C.E.
