   For some reason you're reminding me of the time the Soviet   
   Lunokhod probe gave us our first view ever of the far side of the   
   moon.  Unlike the near side, it has only one (small) mare, which   
   its discoverers named Mare Moscoviensis, the Sea of Moscow.   
      
   Other astronomers objected: "All the maria on the near side have   
   been named after natural phenomena or states of mind."
