Still aiming to write what I want to read because no one else does, but
lately just re-reading and polishing the Magic Earth series (it's
finished, 6 books of on average 130k words, plus 1.5 books or so past
the end even - I started that to get it out of my head, and just keep
going when I get there after rereading and polishing), and the
Seasons&Elements trilogy (which is stuck in the third book at 38k words
   - 1st and 2nd book have around 200k words, maybe I should write a post
   about that asking for suggestions).

I've got 22 starts of other stories (plus the initial vampire story),
ranging from 294 words to 30638 words, that all lost steam. Initially it
was the Magic Earth story interfering, coming up to me like a puppy
wanting to play, intruding on me trying to write something new. But once
I got that out of my head with writing past the end, all the ideas were
gone too. Trying to force something doesn't work. The puppy ate all the
   ideas, sigh.

When I went to count them just now and was checkin what's in the
directories I actually got distracted into something that starts nice
(just reading a bit before returning to the post here), maybe I should
try to continue that or see where it peters out. (But reading the rest,
I don't know how to continue.)

I've had the idea to re-read one of the stories (most likely S&E or ME)
brewing in my head for a bit now, it's been a few months since last
rereading the ME. Reviving one of the starts would be nice, but I don't
really know how, and how to get past the bits in those that are affected
   by the ME intruding.
