   What point are you trying to make?   
      
   That Romeo and Juliet is sad and stupid at the end and they die?   
      
   Saying that a happy ending is harder to do *well* isn't a statement that all   
   endings must be happy or that all sad endings are lazy.   
      
   As a reader, though, I'd rather cry in the middle and cheer at the end.
