   Hi!  That was me.   
      
   Actually, I did have Harry using his wand for that one.  As I recall, you   
   complained that a Potterverse wand couldn't channel that much power.   
   I pointed out that his wand had a phoenix-feather core...and what would   
   you expect to happen to such a wand after being incinerated in magical fire?

   I don't think your daughter could have read my story, because I don't   
   think I ever posted it anywhere -- if memory serves it right, I sent   
   to Wasp by email.  (There's some chance that I'm misremembering, and did   
   post it to rasfc or rasfw, but I'm sure I never put it up at any web   
   forum.)  Probably she found a fic written by someone else, with the   
   same idea.  Not at all a hard idea to come up with, to be sure.
