Yeah, I remember running across the quidditch story quite a few years
   ago. Lots of fun.

She doesn't even bother reading fanfics where the summary looks like
that happens. But she first noticed the plot device pretending to be
a character in the anime/manga canon texts.

Which reminds me, the person who started this thread wondered why
people might write fanfic. My girl started just for fun, but has now
invested in fixing the end of a manga/anime series where the manga
just stopped ('on hiatus' *we* think the author couldn't figure a way
out of the hole s/he had dug), in a really bad place, and the anime
forced an ending that she sees as not really very good for any of the
characters. So she's writting a better continuation and end, blending
   both storylines.

Although she's also been attacked by plot ideas for crossoevers now
and then and seem to be eithe rjust fun, or prompted by realizations
about the original that no one else who writes in those fandoms seems
to have either thought about or used.

   >I've written volumes more than I've read (a million words in the Saint
   >Seiya/Samurai Troopers/DBZ universe alone).

She doesn't recognize the first two, but has followed DB/DBZ although
I think she gave up on it a while ago.

BTW, what's the status on Polychrome?
