I frequently see similarities between our writing approaches, but that
kind of falls apart right here.

I don't think the thing I'm chasing when I write can be described as
"clear awesome images" no images, for one thing, I "imagine" with
kinesthetics and sound, and the visuals are just sort of mostly missing.

And when I "imagine" action scenes (I feel them happening as I virtually
"act out" one of the characters), they tend not to provide a clear
awesome non-image, either. Kinesthetically and aurally action scenes
are chaotic and jarring and you sort of need to focus on what you're
doing, and so one is generally too busy being awesome to actually *feel*
awesome. At least, that's how it seems to me.

Also "awesome" I'm pretty sure is the wrong descriptor for what I'm
chasing emtion-wise. Close, but not there. More like... delight?

Anyway, most of my squeeing over my own work is for bits of dialog.

(And I don't do the whole must have music playing either, but that
always seemed a rather minor difference.)

When I write I don't have the mental space for music. If any is
playing, I just filter it out.

But I do write songs *for* my stories. And I do frequently run my own
virtual "soundtracks" in my head when I'm doing story related art.
