   And Snowball was the only puppy in the litter with a big white snowball on her   
   chest. In a bunch of black puppies it really stood out, although I chose her   
   because she bounced out of the huddle and came over and grabbed my hand.   
      
   All her life, the snowball never got larger, while she did, and I became the   
   idiot who named his black dog Snowball.
