   We keep our scanner tuned to the frequency used by Kosciusko Area Bus   
   System because they report on road conditions and train delays.   
      
   One day I heard the KABS dispatcher say "Metro Four, Dialysis just   
   called.  They took Melanie to Fort Wayne again."   
      
   Metro Four, I presume, had been scheduled to pick up Melanie at   
   Dialysis.   
      
   Fort Wayne is where we take patients the local hospitals can't handle.   
      
   All names were changed because of sieve-like memory.   
      
   My eyes are stinging and I can't even remember her name.   
      
   That reminds me of how Bujold managed to pack about three novels of   
   emotion into "Which son?"
