   He’s not even right. Troughton dressed as a washerwoman in the lost serial   
   “The Highlanders” way back in 1966. And while not cross dressing, William   
   Hartnell wore a very fetching dress (well, a toga) even earlier, in the   
   1965 story “The Romans”.
