Even more accurately, streaming services are, unsurprisingly, not as
popular as the greedy fools in management thought they were going to be
... mainly because there are simply far too many streaming services.

They can't get the amount of subscribers to maintain the services, so
now most are shifting towards advertising, which will simply push even
more people to stop bothering to subscribe. Some service are also
looking at sharing their "exclusive" content, but it's just far too
late. The number of streaming service will continue to dwindle until
only those with very deep pockets remain and only for as long as those
pockets can sustain the loses via the profits from the conmpanys' other
businesses (the theme parks for Disney, but even those are struggling
   with rising costs).
