   Music "copied" to the iPods storage is not accessible by the iPod media   
   player.  So all you would be doing at that point is using it as a memory   
   stick.  You need iTunes (or other software that's compatible, with my 5th   
   classic I used Anapod Explorer) that will import the files into the iPods   
   internal DB.
