   There's a program called "sharepod" that can load and offload stuff   
   into my nano so it can be played.   
      
   There's also a setting in iTunes about whether you want this   
   particular iPod to function as a memory stick. I have mine set that   
   way. The stuff you copy in using file manager cannot be played.
