   I just find it highly unlikely that evolution would lead to a race that   
   needed one particular mineral to survive, and nothing else.

   They all had some funny bits.  Didn't keep some of them from being   
   spectacularly bad.  The best redeeming feature was the camp quality of most   
   of them.
