   "Rosebud" did refer to a sled in the movie. Allegedly in real life William   
   Randolph Hearst used the word "rosebud" to mean "clitoris," (or specifically   
   the clitoris of his mistress) and Orson Wells was showing off to Hearst how   
   much he knew about his life while making a movie based loosely on his life.
