   Why don't you simply Google it?  Roddenberry *sold* Trek and the   
   rights to the franchise.  He didn't keep them.  Simple enough.

   No, they don't.  Trek is a property.  Roddenberry did not retain it,   
   he sold it to Desilu, and therefore the rights were not in his estate.   
   Assuming your comments about Peanuts are correct, all that means is   
   that Schultz retained the rights to his franchise and merely licensed   
   his property.  Roddenberry didn't do that.
