I'm on board with Picard totally screwing up in "I, Borg", where he
has the opportunity to deploy an information bomb against the Borg
and does not. And then, only a few years later, he's in "First Contact"
ranting about "They assimilate entire worlds, and we fall back!" Yeah,
because you left them alone to assimilate entire worlds when you had a
   chance to take them out.

Millions, maybe billions, of people died or were assimilated as a
result of that decision; every victim of the Borg after that moment
   gets Picard's name attached.

   But I disagree here:
   > As for Stewart, I think he's a lousy actor.

Here I don't agree. I've seen "Hamlet" about a dozen times, but his
Claudius is the only one I've ever seen who was really believable. I
was blown away. Given some of what Picard was given to say and do,
Patrick Stewart did as well as could be done with it.

I dunno about behind-the-scenes personality stuff. I usually try to
avoid such discussions anyway; they're uncomfortably close to gossip.
