   Yes and no.

The current generation who are buying (or being bought) iPods and iPads
are quickly getting used to downloading music, movies, TV shows and books,
so for them and future generations real books, CDs, etc. will become less
important. As the older generations die off, the real world books, DVDs,
etc. will largely fade away (you can of course still buy vinyl LP records
with some bands still making new ones). It's also thanks to "Generation
Me" who are simply too impatient, too greedy and too lazy to actually go
down to a shop to buy something.
