   My Approach To Star Trek

I just ignore the whole canon/non-canon thing and just regard the TV
series, movies, and novels all as part of Star Trek. The novels fill in the
gaps between the TV series episodes, the TV series and movies, the movies, and
   cover what happens before
and after the movies. The novels tell us what happens in between the TV series
episodes, in between the TV series and movies, between the movies and before
the TV series and after the movies. The TV and movie scriptwriters couldn't
   cover EVERYTHING, you
know. The terms "canon", "non-canon", and "apocryphal" mean nothing to me. I
just enjoy Trek no matter what form its in and I tie in the different stories
in with each other, whether they be on television, on the big screen, or in
   novels.
