From: tsbrueni@dcn.davis.ca.us               Kalon 2 scientist Timicin tested a method intended to revitalize his       planet's sun, but the test star explodes. When Picard informs the Kalon 2       government of the mishap, the government spokesperson says that Timicin must       return home to meet his        obligations there, and that it will take awhile to train a replacement.       Timicin's "obligation" is that he must commit suicide at age 60 (which he is       about to reach) in accord with his planet's "Resolution" custom. Since Timicin       knew that he was going to        die soon, why hadn't he ALREADY trained his replacement? In fact, why didn't       he bring his designated replacement with him to the test site?              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
