   Besides, being a (so-called) "fan" doesn't actually mean you know how   
   to make real "Star Trek" ... just look at all the incredibly crappy   
   "fan Fiction" stuff around the internet, plus JarJar Abrams claims to   
   be a "Star Wars fan" and yet still managed to screw that franchise up   
   by simply making a lazy-ass reboot of the originals.   :-\
