   Considering that there apparently were people like Liz stationed on the   
   Moon in the DW universe, it is quite possible that all the old NASA "junk"   
   would have also be resituated/removed by 2049 -- possibly as part of some   
   anti-litter campaign.

   It was indeed disappointing to the point that it cannot ever be overstated.
