   Not unlike the Time Lords, which very few authors seem to know what to do   
   with, other than very broad stereotypes of what they see as "the elite".   
   With the exception of the Doctor, because he's "one of the good ones", of   
   course...   
      
   Maybe someone like Lawrence Miles could've pulled it off, although I don't   
   know if he's even written anything recently.
