   I'm glad they addressed the Sea Devil's speech thing... even   
   if unsatisfactorily.

   By mentioning the Doctor I keep coming back to the issue that   
   if all those Sea Devils rose up in cities all around the world,   
   as depicted... would the Doctor really just ignore them and not   
   get involved? Ncuti's Doctor might have gone [somewhere], but   
   there's still a Doctor relaxing in London. So for me, the Doctor   
   should have just been ignored completely, as by mentioning him   
   it's just drawing attention to the fact he's not bothered to get   
   involved in such a major conflict alongside UNIT.

   We all knew the message of this series was going to be   
   environmental damage caused by us, the people of Earth. (Which   
   is why I thought this series would have been broadcast around   
   Earth Day in 2026.) It was the raison d'être behind the whole   
   series.

   In fairness, Pertwee's Doctor went down under the sea to meet   
   the Sea Devils in their caves in 1972.

   IF - and I mean IF - I was rating the first two episodes I would   
   have gone for something like 6/10 for Ep 1 and 5/10 for Ep 2,   
   but I would rather judge the whole series once I have seen all   
   five episodes.
