   RTD has wrote a ton of stuff that's led nowhere and has been   
   a waste of the viewer's time because the plots were not   
   developed.   
      
   So yeah, you're right.   
      
   Still, it's a pretty safe bet that Barclay's kid is going to   
   find himself/herself in jeopardy at some stage during the   
   proceedings, as there's three more episodes to go. RTD does   
   likes his OTT soap opera emotional drama.
