   My mother only bothers with proper cups and saucers when 'special'   
   visitors come, otherwise she usually just uses mugs / tall cups.   
      
   "Experts" say the best option is to use ceramic / porcelain or glass   
   cups because they don't taint the smell or taste of the tea.
