   But they didn't, since they regarded such trade was ideologically   
   unacceptable. If they had sold the oil for money, they would be supporting   
   the capitalist system of world market prices and the dominance of the US   
   dollar. Additionally, the capitalist middleman finalizing the deal would   
   be getting a piece of the action.
