   You are mistaken. Any American active in discussions like this is likely   
   to have a reasonable idea of European anti-American views, some of them   
   justified, some not. I would hope that Europeans active in such   
   discussions would have a similar idea of how their beliefs about America   
   look to Americans, but perhaps not.
