   I expect they would have.   
      
   But your argument here supports James' overall position--that, since the   
   Finns were in a position where they, not the Russians, had to make   
   concessions, it's reasonable to suppose that the terms of trade between   
   the two countries were favorable to the Russians not, as various people   
   are claiming, to the Finns.
