   I don't oppose privatization itself. However problems occur when   
   `ization becomes the main purpose, instead of improving the service or   
   maintaining a functioning level of service.   
      
   In Finland a slow-paced, gradual privatization of former state-owned   
   companies has proven to both maintain a top quality service, keep the   
   companies in good economical shape and provided investors attractive   
   objects to invest to.   
      
   In many of these companies the Finnish state still is the majority owner   
   or one of the bigger shareholders. One often heard complaint is that the   
   shares were issued for a too low price and we, the people, lost money ;)
