   Or in other words, you are indeed ruling out all of the historical   
   civilizations that we know much about--everything large save the Incas   
   and Aztecs and the sub-Saharan African civilizations, none of which we   
   have good and reliable information on--as possible counterexamples to   
   your claim that western society is particularly oppressive of women.   
   "Particularly oppressive" (not an actual quote) apparently meaning "more   
   oppressive than the least oppressive tenth of a percent of all societies   
   that have ever existed," measured by population.   
      
   And yet you expect the claim to be taken seriously?
