   I hadn't really thought about it, but I think that all of   
   the gay men and most -- possibly all -- of the gay women   
   whom I know are in stable relationships.

   I don't know what the actual statistics are, but I can't   
   imagine that the stereotype helps.  The fact that male   
   homosexuality arouses a more virulent brand of bigotry than   
   its female counterpart also doesn't help.
