   Bluntly, I *don't* think that it sounds homophobic, given   
   the quotation marks and the fact that I don't recall having   
   seen any indication of homophobia from the author.  Possible   
   reasons for the quotation marks may be found in my post with   
   Message-ID <134ej8x0ucafg.11joun8cxxwaj.dlg@40tude.net>.   
   Rather, it sounds questionable, as in possibly worth asking   
   about (e.g., 'Was it really necessary to use such loaded   
   terms?').  And from my point of view it's about fairness.
