If by IQ you mean only IQ, then you mean only a test result. How is a
test result heritable? How does a test result impact individuals in
   society(1)?

If by IQ you mean something which allows its holder to achieve good IQ
test results, and that something is heritable and impacts individuals in
   society -- then you're talking about g.

   (1) Well, a test result let me go to the high school I went to. But not
an IQ test result, and I presume you're not talking about this kind of
   impact anyway.
