   To the best of my knowledge, unless you have a very small and very   
   isolated society, people who live in close proximity, share a culture,   
   and share certain outward traits, can nonetheless have a fairly   
   interesting heritage. At least, that's what genetic studies seem to   
   suggest whenever they are publicised.
