   I have looked at some of the literature, but haven't researched it in   
   depth.  However, James' assertion that the presence of women in high   
   academic ranks must be based upon political correctness, not their   
   abilities, sounds rather like "someone else's career is advancing faster   
   than mine and I am jealous".
