No, *ultimately* in response to me pointing out that not everyone in the
world has heard of Daniel Boone. Dude, *seriously*. First I say that
just because one hasn't heard of Daniel Boone, doesn't mean one is an
alien; and promptly I'm accused of anti-American prejudice; and suddenly
   the conversation is all about:

   >I don't consider the

Privilege need not be set against prejudice; most discussion about both
that I've read online frames things in terms of intersectionality, so
that I, for example, am privileged because I'm white *at the same time*
as I miss out on male privilege *at the same time* as I miss out on
American privilege *at the same time* as I am privileged by being a
native English speaker, and so forth.

Aqua wasn't setting one against the other. She was responding to the
way Remus did (and he did so extremely successfully, I might add,
managing to completely derail the conversation from American privilege
and getting everyone else to argue with each other while he wanders
elsewhere with his hands clean. --Well bugger this, then. I'm Somewhat
Annoyed about being labelled with anti-American prejudice(1), but I'm
not playing into the "zomg, but what about reverse prejudice and, and,
and, where will it all end?!!11eleventy-one" game.

   NB lack of end parenthesis.

   (1) I do not deny *having* anti-American prejudice. But I don't believe
I displayed it in that post.
