   Many supermarkets don't mind, as long as you still pay for it at the   
   checkout (for example, by scanning the empty packet), but that's not   
   possible with items bought by weight.   
      
   Some supermarkets often have little taste stalls, but it's usually for   
   either new products or ones that aren't selling well (and often the   
   expensive products).
