   Are you fucking joking? Look at the brouhaha some folks are putting up   
   about the (years-long) phaseout of incandescent light bulbs in the U.S.:   
   crying that their freedoms are being abridged, stocking up with   
   decades-long supplies of the old bulbs, etc.   
      
   Try to take away everybody's car on the same day? You'll have riots in   
   the streets.
