           For what it's worth, I have a faint memory of reading this   
   story.  I believe it was much too short to appear in an ACE double,   
   though.  I'm at a loss for where to place it, although I have the   
   feeling of it being something from a 60s or 70s collection.  I'm sorry   
   to have so little guidance to working out what story this might have   
   been.
