My nearest bus stop is 280 metres away, according to Google Maps. But
Google doesn't expect me to use them. Just about any trip plan using
transit on Google Maps involves walking to my local train station 650
   metres away.

And the walking portion of the route doesn't allow dragging waypoints
like google maps allows for driving routes. So I can't force it to
avoid the cross-park path that doesn't get shoveled when it snows.

(OK, maps will allow me to drag waypoints for "walking" mode but not
for the walking part of a "transit" mode. Add 150 metres to avoid the
   park.)
