   I don't know about adverts with smoking being healthy, but there were   
   certainly plenty of adverts that made it look "cool".

   The tobacco companies knew somiking was addictive from the start. Even   
   after the health issues were brought up they actively tried to discount   
   all the proof and are *still* actively trying to stop any law changes   
   which will cause their greedy profits to disappear. The people running   
   such companies are simply greedy, selfish scumbags.
