   With the exception of perhaps the Xbox, Microsoft's products have been   
   at best had a luke-warm reception over the last few years ... Zune,   
   Vista, Surface, Windows 8, etc., etc.   
      
   Much of Microsoft's profits come from selling Windows to the makers of   
   new computers, whether or not that maker actually sells the computer is   
   a very different measuring stick.
