I have several crayon rail games. This is a genre of game where
you plot your routes using a plastic crayon on a plasticised game
board. I have China Rails, and I have noticed that in almost all
games, it works best to build in the east first. I saw ONE game where
this was not so. My opponent did it, and he definitely had an unusual
draw of cards. I conclude that the game designers did a good job of
   simulating the actual rail patterns.
