   In Douglas Admas' "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" series, the   
   answer to "Ultimate Question" was 42 ... but what was the question?   
      
   Now all is revealed.   
      
   42 is the sum of all the dots on a pair of dice. Dice are often used as   
   a symbol of luck or fate, so the answer of "42" is really just telling   
   you that the "ultimate answer to life, the universe, and everything" is   
   simply luck / fate.   ;-)
