From: ggam77@net-kooks.org              by evil rainstorm.                                   2-27-05       Sunday              1145              106.5 The Promise              Good morning. We have a full-blown Nor'easter this morning here in       downtown Jacksonville.                            The weather was so bad that I wasn't able to get to church this       morning, so I watched the morning worship service on television.              First Baptist Church of Jacksonville broadcasts their morning worhsip       service live every Sunday morning.              The choir, which is 400 voices strong, sang my favorite gospel song.       "Rock of Ages"              Dr. Jerry Vines wonderful sermon this morning was about 2 Peter 2:1-9.              That particular Bible passage deals with false prophets and their       followers. Their deceptions, their defective teachings, and their       ultimate destruction.              I can relate to Lot. I've been saved, but I'm tormented by the       temptations I face every day. But God knows how to deliver the godly       out of temptations. So unlike Lot, I pitch my tent toward Him. For       lack of a better metaphor.              It looks like I'll be spending the entire day in the house as the       weather continues to get worse...              It will give me a chance to catch up on my reading and writing, and to       clean up my apartment a bit.              I am not a rich man by any stretch of the imagination. However, I have       a roof over my head, food on the table, shoes on my feet, and more       importantly, I have the Lord in my heart. So in that sense, I'm the       richest man in the world.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
